HUMANS BEFORE BORDERS

It is estimated that since 2014 almost 50,000 migrants have died while fleeing their countries in search of a better life. 25,000 in the Mediterranean alone. The situation tends to get more violent and get worse. Meanwhile, the EU has withdrawn the military ships that were assisting these migrants / refugees and has banned other rescue vessels from circulating in the Mediterranean.

The number of people who have had to leave their homes due to persecution, war, and human rights violations has exceeded 100 million this year, which clearly shows the failure of the international community to find long-term solutions to conflicts and to protect fundamental human rights.

We must act, and must act now.

We can’t bring back the lost lives but we have the power to save many more.
